when was the f15t8/cw type labeling started? « on: August 19, 2015, 09:51:19 PM » Author: toomanybulbs
i know that when i run into a tube that just says 15w white rather than f15t8/w i know its an oldie.  did all mfrs shift to the newer labeling we use today at once or was it whenever they got around to it?
would be a nice way of dating lamps.

Most manufacturers began including the ordering code on fluorescent lamps in 1959. Westinghouse started earlier, around 1956-57. These ordering codes were listed in the lamp catalogs starting in the 1940s though.
