china 6w vitalite death watch started today « on: October 24, 2015, 02:32:19 PM » Author: toomanybulbs
its getting beat to death in a preheat fixture connected to a intervalometer.
that is fancy timer.
3 seconds on 3seconds off.
till it dies.
timer is a gralab 451.
i know these can go a long time as a nightlight and one did 3 years in a tv lamp.we can close enough calculate the number of preheat starts it can take now.
edit...
added an instant start fixture too with 2 new lamps from the same box.
so 2 on death row now.

well that didnt take long!
around 8 hours to beat the one on instant to death.
when it got to the death dance stage it glitched the microcontroller in the timer and stopped it.
i locked it on and over 1 minute of purple/orange show till hisssss.
the preheat is still perfectly clean on the ends.
installed a sylvania usa and its already darkening.
these fulham i.s ballasts are rough on tubes!
