It looks interesting but I doubt it's worth that much money.

LED with the blue partially filtered out. I think could do better with just LEDs which are not blue in the first place (say combination of amber + green)

It is possible to get a white light with UV LED + RGB phosphors, so that the light quality will be much better than blue LED + yellow phosphor.

That advertisement text is a complete BS.

I would expect there would be some special lamps used on the ISS (and in similar places - resting rooms in the long haul airplanes or submarines for the resting crew members,...), but the reason is not to improve sleep, but provide visibility without affecting the sleep that much.
Don't see any use at home...

This is nothing more than a money making placebo that works at least somewhat. I use a red spiral CFL as a bedside lamp. Of course, it's off when we sleep.

According to what Medved says, this looks like a fraud.
I also suspected initially that this is a fraud, since I bet that the International Space Station don't uses such lamps, but special purpose lamps that are made especially for use in space. I don't know what is the type of lighting that is used in staffed spaceships.
Btw, is this good that I'm sleeping with my bug zapper ON (Turned off at 3:00am by my socket timer), with the lamps UVA and pale bluish light?
Am I need to turn my bug zapper OFF, when I went asleep and use my amber LED nightlight?

I don't know what is the type of lighting that is used in staffed spaceships.

Definitely they can not use anything relying on "natural convection" cooling, because without gravity that just does not work. There is just not any force to move the warmer air at all. As that lamp clearly relies on the natural convection, so it will overheat very soon.
They should suffice with either radiative cooling (that needs high operating temperature to be efficient) and/or forced air cooling. Plus the design has to suffice with way lower air pressure, so density.

Depends: If you sleep better with the bluish light than with a clouds of mosquitoes around your head, it is obviously better to keep it ON...
The bluish light makes the sleep not good, but the bites and buzz of all the bugs do not make it good either, so it sounds to me as a matter of choosing the "smaller evil"...

An obvious fraud, the blue light is filtered out because blue light inhibits melatonin production. But the filter does not enhance your production capabilities.

Yeah this seems kind of sketchy. Who in their right mind would shell out that kind of money instead of using a 7w incandescent bulb. ???
