Ash, the starters are Leviton starters and do have a capacitor. I think they are glow bottle but have yet to take one apart. I don't use the fixture much. I had thought of installing it in my "radio building" over the "radio desk" but I can barely lift it and it is a 2 person job to install.  And if it fell, it would kill me....   

Maybe John (DieselNut) wants to install it for me......   

Right now I have a RF generator over the desk, a dual lamp 17 watt T8 fixture that I have to turn off if I want to listen to Medium Wave.  Now the cheap Chinese Dual F15T8 lamp with Indonesian GE lamps is sitting ATOP the radio (insulated from the metal case by paper) and is on 24/7. It gets barely warm, and not a PEEP of noise is heard in the radio!.  I'm looking for suggestions.
