These are the pros and the cons of the lithonia 100w mercury vapor bulb.

Pros:The bulb is very bright and is easy to install in 100W Lithonia MV fixtures.

Cons:If the bulb gets a scratch ,it must be disposed.
The bulb must be turned off at least once a week according to the box instructons.


If you want this bulb go to your local home depot store in the security and area lighting aisle.

In the home depot I go to I seen the Philips 100w A-21 and ED shaped ones but not the lithonia ones.They only had 65w fluorescent and 70w MH in the security and area lighting aisle

Usually I see them in the area with Lithonia bucket lights.There avaliable with the following bulbs: and  sold seprately

I was looking at the 50w MH entry lamp at Lowe's. I mite go back and get one for the fun of it.

The instructions about shutting off once a week if burned 24/7 are on all mercury vapor and metal halide lamp packages, and the warning about disposing of if the lamp is scratched is on all HID lamp packages.
