It's made by, rather distributed by Good Choice, a division of Northeastern Plastics which is in Houston,TX. There is a 1 year guarantee. NONE of the previous 6 bulbs came close. It's 1.6 watts. I shall see how long this one works. On the back, Night of Night light is misspelled as Nigh  ......

Heavens no. Some sort of solid state and there are 3, yes three wires out of each end of the tube.  I got my high power factor ballast now I need a deeper single lamp 40 watt fixture!

These are instant start, either probe, or using RD rectifier/multiplier.
Some older used to be cold (hollow) cathode, but I've not seen such concept anymore.
