This video I found shows a Nokia phone which used a small ccfl backlight for its main display. As far as I know, this is the only phone model to have it, as successors used led backlights. Aren't the Sega Game Gear, Sega Nomad and Atari Lynx portable gaming consoles used fluorescent backlit LCD displays as well?

What is the most interesting on this phone related to lighting is the way the tube is powered: Using a piezoelectric transformer to generate the required high voltage, instead of the typical electromagnetic ones. It is the first device I have seen using that concept really in use, beside ceramic component makers catalogues and ads.
