Wanted: E27 base Sylvania SPX Eco Arc 69/108W high pressure sodium retrofit lamp « on: January 17, 2025, 02:59:25 PM » Author: WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA
Since I have been seeing that the Sylvania SPX Eco Arc 69/108W high pressure sodium lamps have been designed to be retrofitted into European 80W and 125W mercury vapor fixtures, I have been interested in getting one of these Sylvania SPX Eco Arc 69/108W high pressure sodium retrofit lamps to try on North American 100W H38 mercury vapor ballasts or Japanese 100W mercury vapor ballasts because the electrical specifications of North American 100W H38 mercury vapor lamps and Japanese 100W mercury vapor lamps seem to fall in between the values of those for European 80W and European 125W mercury vapor lamps. Sadly, I have been having a very hard time finding places online where I can purchase these interesting high pressure sodium retrofit lamps as they have been discontinued due to the 2015 EU ban on mercury vapor lamps and high pressure sodium retrofit lamps for mercury vapor ballasts.

For reference, European 80W mercury vapor lamps are specced at 115V, 0.80A; North American 100W H38 mercury vapor lamps are specced at 130V, 0.85A; Japanese 100W mercury vapor lamps are specced at 115V, 1.0A; and European 125W mercury vapor lamps are specced at 125V, 1.15A. Based on what I can tell from these specifications, it seems like the Sylvania SPX Eco Arc 69/108W high pressure sodium retrofit lamps should be able to run satisfactorily on North American 100W H38 mercury vapor ballasts and Japanese 100W mercury vapor ballasts.

If anybody can help me with procuring these high pressure sodium retrofit lamps, it would be greatly appreciated.
