Antique lamp posts of the Pearce-Lockett homestead « on: November 17, 2024, 09:21:50 AM » Author: Cole D.
At the Edna Pearce Lockett homestead and estate, in Fort Bassinger FL, there are numerous antique concrete lampposts with glass acorn globes, along the driveway, as well as the gate posts.

I wonder how old these are, and I’d like to see what kind of old light bulbs are in these. 😮

There are also some old yardblasters and NEMA heads on the barns at the property, or at least seen in pictures.

The main house at the estate was built around 1898, and the schoolhouse around 1900.

Edna Pierce was born on the estate in 1908 and lived there until her death in 1991. She served on the Florida legislature in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

The property was donated to Southwest Florida Water Management in 1993, but fell into disrepair, over the years. A local resident purchased it in 2017 and has been restoring the home and property.

It’s usually open one weekend a year to visitors. I’m hoping go go see it next year. Hopefully I can get closer pictures of the lighting as well.

Here are pics with those lampposts at this page Lockett

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
