HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!

Here is a 35W M130 pulse start metal halide HX autotransformer ballast: https://www.ebay.com/itm/335087911595It seems to be a decent substitute for a 50W H46 mercury vapor ballast, but it somewhat underdrives the lamp and is better for running Japanese 40W mercury vapor lamps and the rare North American 40W H45 mercury vapor lamps.

I also sent an email for an alternative ballasting setup just in case your offer for the 35W ballast is rejected.

Well, it got declined. If this seller ever wants to sell this ballast, they have to lower the price to something more reasonable.

Have you checked out my email involving my alternative ballasting setup?
Additionally, I also found a ballasting setup that is only $44 with offers excluded.

http://www.easycontrolgear.co.uk/BHL-50/80-K407If you have a 240v hookup at home, and hook this up to the 230v section, you'll probably get close to getting the right current. I haven't calculated it, might wanna run the numbers yourself with regards to the 50/60hz difference. Alternatively, spend some money on a 230v 50hz true sine inverter.

Import costs are another barrier to getting ballasts shipped across the world depending on how much they are.

Does the usa even have import fees? I've shipped 2nd hand stuff to the usa multiple times but never have had buyers worry about it. The other way round - USA to europe - 21% VAT including over the shipping cost, and if it's above 150 euro in total, a couple percent (about 5 i think) import fees.

I think I may have two. What would you like to pay for a genuine 50w MV ballast?

Just curious. Are your 50W ballasts CWA ballasts or HX autotransformer ballasts?

I'm pretty sure it's an Advance 71A1800, which is HX autotransformer, but I need to find it. Btw, both 50w Advance mercury CWA and HX ballasts can be seen here next to each other.

I sent another seller of some 26w PL-C ballasts an offer. If they decline, I'll definitely consider it. I would definitely like a real 50w MV ballast because it would be a cool thing to have in the collection.

I find 58 watt fluorescent chokes will work very well on 240 volts in the US .
