Interesting spectral phenomenon in coloured metal halide lamps « on: February 23, 2010, 01:26:31 PM » Author: dor123
In the blue/high CCT and the green MH lamps spectra i found that the spectral lines of the indium (Blue and high CCT MH) and the thallium (Green MH) are dominant in the spectra from the moment the lamp is turn on (Like in the case of a HPS lamp) unlike white MH lamps that these lines are not appearing in the spectrum during warm up but only after the mercury is reached its optimal pressure and intensity. This phenomenon is also occurs with the indium line (But not with the sodium line) in pink MH lamps. What cause the phenomenon?

I dont have an answer for your question. But I had to admit that I was thinking same question(with my own topic in general section) you mentioned in your second post. Do I remember wrong or did we have more active members year ago? Forum section seems pretty dead nowadays(or are all questions already asked once or twice and we should just use search ??? ). there seems to be 152 users in the gallery side but most of them seems to be inacive or atleast I dont remember ever heard most of them.

If admins sees some statics about users it would be nice to know how many active member LG has.
