The oldest dateable fixtures I've seen would probably have to be some 1960's fluorescent streetlights but I'm fairly sure I've seen older fixtures in use but can't fully verify the installation dates.

Fluro starter pings combined with a 50hz ballast hum and blinking tubes is music to my ears.

I’ve seen quite a few really old clamshells, in particular the GE form 402 that i saved dates from the early-mid 50s.

I saw some teardrop pendants In San Francisco that date back to the 1930's. I also saw a GE Type M-2 LPS lantern that was original to the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge in 1937.

There's some really old stuff in some parts of Toronto.

The oldest probably being the Palmerston Blvd. lights. They were erected sometime around 1905-1910 and were originally fitted with incandescent. Later refurbishments saw the poles repainted, the globes replaced and interestingly the original incandescent retrofitted to use 70w PSMH with the ballast located in the pole base.

Some other stuff include:

1920s pole sconce lights (relamped with LED)

Radial wave, est 1930s-1940s

1950s Westinghouse OV-20 400w MV

GEC Z9464

GEC Diffractor Z8128B

Nothing too old around here although we did have some early 60s American Electric 15-000 cobras which were sadly removed early this year.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
