NARVA HQKRG 80, 125, 250; NF 80-21, NF 125-21, NF 250-21 « on: May 29, 2022, 09:18:20 PM » Author: Olav
At the end of the sixties in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) the development of a simple fixture in open design for the lamps mv 80W and mv 125W with base E27 was made by the company "VEB Leuchtenbau Leipzig".
The lamps for these fixtures were specially developed and produced by NARVA. This is followed by pictures of the lamps and some excerpts from books, catalogs, magazines in German language.
There was also a larger type of this lamp for 250W with an E40 socket. These lamps were designed exclusively for fixtures in industrial lighting.

Up to the end of 1973 the designation of these lamps was NARVA HQKRG 80, HQKRG 125 and HQKRG 250, from 1974 the designation was NARVA NF 80-22, NF 125-22 and NF 250-22.

From 1975 there were three lamps under the designation NARVA NF 80-21, NF 125-21 and NF 250-21.

The change from the last digit "2" to "1" was made necessary by changing the phosphor.
2 = fluorine germanate
1 = yttrium vanadate

The 250W lamp also changed its shape from the BT shape to the ellipsoid shape in the early 1970s.

Two pictures from the NARVA NF 125-21 91 a few seconds after the ignition and 30 seconds after the ignition:

The fixtures were often equipped with the normal 80W and 125W mv lamps (with and without fluorescent material), because the "21" type lamps were not always available. It was a common practice.
