That's a TCP! knew they were fire hazards! now I know, NEVER buy one again! even though I only had one.

Never will I buy a TCP again!! There are ones in use in my porch lights, I need to change those out!

Whoa! I glad that I've never had this happen to one of my CFLs. I actually prefer linear fluorescents and PL lamps over self-ballasted CFLs. That base on the CFLs looks like the Commercial Electrics that Home Depot used to sell here. Are they made by TCP?

Upon closer inspection, these lamps look like they have been microwaved! I remember DieselDucy microwaved a CFL and it looked like these....
