HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!

I have seen that there are some polarimeter low pressure sodium lamps being sold still, but they are not SOX lamps, yet they still emit the same monochromatic light.

I think you mean spectral lamps, they are quite rare these days, I don't know if they're still made any more. I know Philips stopped production of them some time back. I only have two, mercury and sodium, but hopefully I will find more some day. The Philips ones are good as they all run from a 90W LPS leak transformer ballast.

I see some Chinese sellers selling polarimeter low pressure sodium lamps with E27 bases and with special 4 pin and 8 pin bases on eBay.

Yeah, I've seen those. I don't know how good they are compared with the Philips and Osram ones, though.

They were used in laboratories as sources of specific lines of radiation, such as mercury, sodium, neon, argon and such like. If you can get the good ones, they are very collectable. I am hoping to get some more Philips ones soon
