Speak for yourself, we're married and maybe not old old, but not getting any younger 
In 6 years, 1 month and 9 days (2,232 nights) with never having been apart overnight (in fact never longer than a few minutes at a time) we've never had more than very slight disagreements.
We have an old saying we live by - never go to bed on an argument, and it's worked so far 

As for me leaving, I've changed my mind, instead, i'll be taking a break

Taking a break from something can be helpful if you start getting frustrated and/or bored with it.
