I just went to look up a GE date code on one of GE's web pages I have book marked . WELL , It's no longer there and has been replaced by a GE Currant Document library which seems to be nothing but LED !!! The original page I HAD was the "GE fluorescent ballast PCB & date code one which showed date codes from the mid 60's to the late 80's along with the cut off line in the codes for weather the capacitors had PCBs or not . Does anyone have a copy of this list or know where to find the original somewhere ? This was VERY handy for determining the date for GE HID light fixtures and ballasts . I hate when companies do this !!!

What was the link, you might be able to use Wayback to find it (assuming it was archived). EDIT: While Archive.org did not have it, I found this post that has a copy of the document along with other brands.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying when companies take down literature pertaining to older lighting. Anyway, it took a big of digging but I had a old copy saved on my computer.

@ joseph_125 & High Intensity : That would be the one I was looking for !! THANK YOU !! @ Ria : I agree !! It just pisses me off that modern companies refuse to save ANY info on older equipment. This wasn't a problem in the past . It's not just lighting , it's EVERYTHING !! I used to be able to go to the dealer and have them look up parts for my old cars and even though the part usually had long ago became obsolete , they could still give me a part # and the contact info of at least one company who might be able to find the part . By having the part # I could at least look through places like swap meets or eBay , ETC. With the newer stuff , all I get now is "not available anymore , SORRY !" THE WONDERFUL THROW AWAY SOCIETY WE LIVE IN !!!!

Exactly the reason why I wish I would've live back in the 1970's! It was a good time. The 60's were great as well, although I was too young to get into all that stuff that went on back then
