There have been a few instances recently of gallery pictures depicting various experiments being carried out.

Whilst in general, experimenting with lighting or anything else is a good way of finding things out, some of the instances we have seen have been rather risky and potentially unsafe, and neither I or any of the other LG admin team condone or endorse any experiments done by members here. Having said that, something that would not meet code or regulations in a permanent installation is usually fine for a temporary 'lash-up' to see if it works, but doing something that is potentially dangerous and could result in anything from personal injury to a house fire or worse, is not.
