After considering trying to obtain a GE indoor 400w CWA mercury vapor ballast with 4 wire taps that would cost a little over $200 and the seller accepting offers, I noticed that the listing suddenly ended and the seller told me this following message:   New message from: industrialsurplusstuff2020  Top Rated Seller(6,028Green Star) Thank you for inquiring. I wouldn't get too mad, frankly that guy ruined his own chanses of getting a ballast for scrap mony worht way less so its his fault for losing out on all that cash.

I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

The ballast that was scrapped is pretty rare unfortunately and may take me some decades to acquire. It especially makes me sad to see this happening because the US banned the manufacture, sale, and import of mercury vapor ballasts in 2008. The model number for that ballast is a GE 15G6089W. I am still interested in acquiring a ballast just like that in the future. Can someone let me know when another example of such ballasts shows up on eBay. I feel that the seller wanted to scrap that ballast in favor of LED lighting.

It makes no sense to me that they decided to get rid of their old stock items. But if someone could find out their address, some dumpster diving might be an idea
