It is probably made by Funai.  They sell other consumer electronics under license using the Sylvania name.  It wouldn't be too much of a stretch as they also make printers for Lexmark.

Here's where the lamps are at.... In this computer, they have replaced the CC fluorescent back light in the monitor with LED back lights.  That in itself, I believe, is note worthy.

These aren't very powerful, but actually kind of handy.  I have an Acer version of this (running windows XP) with an at&t aircard.  It makes multi-hour layovers at airports much less painful where I can pull it out, connect and browse the gallery

I think thats the same reason you sometimes get HPS lamps with the "R" UV warning.
